Motorrad Meyer, Aachen, Germany
Returning from the Elefantentreffen Rally my "NEW" chain fitted only 500 miles before leaving home started to stretch really badly and was adjusted 5 times in 120 miles, so I had no option but to find a dealer and buy a new one. I wasn't far from Aachen and talking to a local fish and chip shop owner
, was told about Mayers who he said were Yamaha dealers. I arrived there as they opened on Monday morning at 10.00 AM with my fingers well crossed, and was greeted by a really friendly bunch of guys and the bike salesman (who's name I din't get) luckily spoke great English. With the rest of the staff given guidance by him, I was supplied with a new chain and had it riveted on at no extra charge when they found out the group of riders I was with were on a tight schedule for the Channel Tunnel crossing. We were all sorted and away again before 11.00 AM - so thanks Mayers - well recommended.

Yup, I'd say fairly typical of bike dealers here. Mind, I suspect that being English, we get better service than the locals, for some reason. My warranty claims here on my UK Tenere were received with courtesy and efficiency and no quibbles.
