Bash Plate

Hello.
I did quite some modifications on my Tenere, I try to do it as much as I can on my own. Sometimes because i like to do something on my own, sometimes, because the things I can buy, just dont meet my expectations, so i try to modificate things in my garage.

I dont like the original bash plate because does not protect water pump. The aftermarket ones also do not cover it, or they need to have pipe protection also, so it is heavier and uglier for me.

So i want to find someone with the XT 660 X/R that has bought the OTR bash plate like this, and would ask him to make some measurements that would help me put things on cardboard, and then I will play with the lines to make it fit on tenere, and then cut it out of aluminium.

To make it clear, i dont want this because its heavy and ugly for me

And dont want this one, because dont cover the water pump and its also ugly because of those weird not round holes.

Once i found this picture of tenere, that has almost perfect bash plate for me, would just extend on sides, to cover the water pump, but cannot find the owner, to ask him about advice, where he got it, or for measurements...

So if someone here has that OTR bash plate, I would really appreciate it, if he took some time, and try to give me some good measures, that would help me make it one, like that, just that I will make it fit on Tenere. I know that is not just a five minute work, so appreciate it a lot!
I am prepared to make favor for the return.

Interesting as I would like something like the 1st pic that goes all the way back to the center stand.

I'd recomend making up your own template from cardboard. At least then it can be whatever shap you like. Foam core board is great for this kind of template work because it holds its shape really well. You'll have a pretty accurate template made up in a couple of hours.

I am looking at getting some laser cutting done, then getting the bending and welding done afterwards. Laser cutting doesn't really cost that much in the UK......way to go!

Hi, Last weekend I just did the cardboard template, than with 1mm alu plate, and now its put in AUTOCAD and gave it a laser cut. Will post some pis later.
The product will be top one.
So if anyone is interested I can make them more for you and send it.
It sure will be a lot cheaper than OTR one.
