Air filter Mod timeline

Hi -

I have read lots about modifying the airfilter box etc and bought the mod cd. Lots of ideas -

Would somebody be able to enlighten me on a step by step guide to which mods to make and at what point on the time-line I would need to install a power commander / kev mod.

i.e. a stage by stage process

Cheers

Well we used to drill holes in the airbox before the DNA Stage 2 came along, now we just fit that and we don't really need to drill holes. Just adjust the CO and that should see you ok.

London - You are in the Tenere section...... We don't drill the Tenere Airbox!

Are you asking about a Z, or X & R airbox ?

London, assuming you are talking about an XT660X / XT660R and not the Tenere XT660Z this is the DNA Stage 2 filter for the X/R

It replaces the side cover (right leg side) with a new filter opening which gives the bike the max oomph possible.

similar to the Tenere's Stage 2 filter cover as in the link below:

Ok London, if you are (finally you've said its for a Tenere) referring to the Tenere, there are 3 stages which require 4 bits to achieve the max performance these are as follows in order of stage:

Main Filter High Flow replacement (Stage 1)

http://www.e-dnafilters.com/Product.asp?ID=810

Stage 2 (a) - Snorkle replacement and airbox intake module:

http://www.e-dnafilters.com/Product.asp?ID=824

Stage 2 (b) - Side Cover - High Performace filter:

http://www.e-dnafilters.com/Product.asp?ID=1211

Intake insert - which combined with Stage 2(a) and Stage 2(b) will equal Stage 3
