Scottoiler e system

Visited scottoiler on business today and collected an electronic oiler. Very impressive!
I will post detailed pics of the install on the tenere which will be viewed by the design team at scottoiler on this very forum as they recognise the importance of the XT single cylinder machines to the market. Just connect the wires to the battery and install the kit. No vaccuum required.

Pics and review to follow

Do the advantages of the e system warrant the high price when the v system does what it says on the can for less than half the price?

In all honesty, I believe yes, they do. If you take ease of use and installation into consideration. Factor in that they only oil when in motion and never on tickover as they are controlled by 3 axis accellerometer. Its also possible to adjust the flow rate and even the point at which oiling begins right there on the digital display. They have an on board temp sensor and an oil level indicator as well. Oh, and they look cool.

I have had a few Vsystems over the years and they are very good, I do consider though that the convienience and extra functionallity of the esystem makes it worth the added cost.

We shall see.

Installed and working and what a brilliant bit of kit

Here it is, Without a doubt the best thing since sliced bread. Even has a temperature gauge and we all want one of those. Natty little display to tell you how fast you are accellerating as well which will be fun.

Priming is just the coolest thing. Hit the button and it pumps oil for 1 minute.
Everything is controlled by these 2 buttons, it switches on when you start the engine so must be sensing the voltage drop and quick rise as the engine is started.

Only oils when you are moving, What else can I say? its just great

Had a few Vsystems in the past but this unit is in a league all of its own.
Get one,

Al.

Do you get more in the kit to secure and support the tube along the swing arm? It doesn't look very secure or robust and would probably catch vegetation should you go off road.
I do like to controller although that's where I have my GPS!!!!

Yeah, loads of stuff in the kit for swing arm. I take your point and will add to the support although my off roading will be just dirt tracks.

Loads of mounting options for the gadget box. With a steel bracket that can be bolted just about anywhere. In many orientations
