So very tempted...

Been doing a little digging this afternoon.

Come across these websites:

DIY Tacho

http://www.massmind.org/images/boards/revbar/index.htm

http://www.t-r-j.com/Auto/Tach/tachometer.htm

DIY AFR Gauge

http://www.scirocco.org/tech/misc/afgauge/af.html

Thankfully enough, I went onto the National Semiconductor website and ordered some samples of the IC chips used in these, should hopefully get accepted.

If I do, I'll make 1 / both up and see if they work!

Seems like a lot of effort for something that you will not be looking at while you're riding?

Well, so long as I get these free samples, I'll see what I can put together, hopefully I could put the AFR gauge and Rev counter in the same box, that'd be nice.

AFR gauge is incredibly simple to put together, its just an IC, LED bargraph and a voltage regulator with an input from the O2 sensor which I can hijack from my autotune.

The rev counter is a little more difficult and might require a little ingenuity to get it calibrated.

I wouldn't...I don't use a dash.

I'm not saying don't do it Daz, all mods are welcome here. I personally don't find this feature necessary. Good luck with it bud

Ah, Neither do I!

I don't think its necessary in the slightest, but I need another project to do while my Stage 3 is in limbo mode and what with having my autotune, it'll be nice to see what its reading when im riding and as for the RPM thats just an added feature.

It's just something to do really

Oh, and I would look at it, alot!
I like rev counters, they're a novel idea and miss having one on my bike.

I use an analogue rev counter - you can read it with peripheral vision and it is very helpful to me to decide whether I need a gear change for the next section of my goat track.

One thing I love about the XT660s is how many different ways people use them and they still shine.
