Some prick knocked it over and it won't start!!!!

Hi,

just got back to the XT and somebody has knocked it over. Got it back up, there gear pedal is lumpy now it goes into 1st and 2nd with a little persuasion. I assuming a new pedal will sort this. More worrying is the fact when I switched it on, the ignition noise has disappeared. The symbols light up, no noise, no ignition. Anybody had this? Is it a simple fix?

Really ***|*ed off as I'm using it to travel between the Peaks and London at the minute.

Any suggestions welcome.

Love and peace

Hector

That's a real pain in the ass Hector sorry to hear it. The gear lever is very malleable and can easily bent back to where you need it, bent mine just while pushing the bike against my boots with no drop.
Heard rumours about some sort of lean angle sensor on these bikes that may tie in with your other symptoms, perhaps someone with real knowledge can pop along and advise if this is real or I've dreamt it.
Hope you're up and running again soon,
Selina

You are trying to start the bike in neutral & can see the neutral light on?

If the tilt switch function has been activated you need to turn the ignition on, then cycle the red kill switch on then off & on again then crank the bike.

Otherwise it could be a side stand switch.

Sorry for the knock over, that would get me blood pressure up.
