Lever/hand protection
Currently ive got a set of acerbis rally pro hand guards which i use to have the small but pointless wind deflectors on. They are good as they have a metal reinforcement bar behind the plastic which means in a spill they dont damage the levers or my hands.
The main thing is they are no good for wind protection in the winter and ive commuted 3 winters already and have had enough and want a change. So what hand guards or even muffs have you got? How good are they? and How much did they cost? Or has any one moded their acerbis rally pro's with some better protection.

Thats what i was thinking but just cant seem to find a set that would cover the entire hand guard. Most cover the outers of your hands fine but taper in at your main fingers which is where i sufffer it most

I cut up a plastic oil can and rivetted the sections on, then formed them with a heat gun.

Be carefull about going to large, I had the Honda OE ones on my Varadero and they were rubbish (the wind whipped around the edges). The much smaller Acerbis ones on the TTR are way more use. Size isn't everything! You could try cutting up some milk bottles (the plastic, not the glass ones!) and having a play with something for the winter ? One of the best 'deflectors' I had was actually some Scaf-sheet (the plastic sheet they put on scaffolding) cut to fit over the top of my glove. I used some elastic to hold it to my wrist and index finger. Looked crap but boy it kept the rain, wind and cold away. Funny thing was, last year at Dent Johnno turned up with a very similar setup !!!
