Road Biased Tyres For Tenere

I'm finding, unsurprisingly, that the standard tyres on my tenere are crap in the slightly damp, mildly moist, wet and very wet. Doing 30k miles per year commuting and worrying about the upcoming winter weather, does anyone have any recommendations for more tarmac biased options?

Coincidence..
I was just about to start the same topic.
I'm sick of the Mitas E07s and their lack of wet grip on the road. Dry grip is fine but the slightest shower and every corner is sketchy.
In the past I've used Bridgestone BW501/2s, Michelin Siracs, and Conti TKC80s.
I still have some Contis in the shed for when the snow comes.
The Battlewings, seen here in the snow-

Were a good road tyre, and lasted well- 5500 miles. The Siracs lasted 4500 and started to white line terribly in the last 1000 miles. I don't like Tourances having had them on my Caponord.
Has anyone tried the Michelin Anakees on a Tenere?
I know Michelin also did a Pilot Trail tyre, but I think that's for the larger bikes.
So come on, road tyres in a 21" fitment...

Also, am I right in thinking that the sizes are 90/90/21 and 130/80/17?

@A7: Which OE tyres have you got (Tourance or Sirac)?

On the bright side, if you are doing 30k miles a year you'll have been through a couple of sets of tyres before the winter, so you've got plenty of chance for experimentation

@Tom: I happen to know where there is a pair of Anakees which are barely scrubbed in, located quite near to you . I'm sure we could come to some arrangement if you wanted them. I quite liked them on the DR, but then I also found the Tourances OK on the Ten', and they are (visually at least) a pretty similar tyre.

Them are Tourances. I had the same experiences as you with these in damp weather. But others really like them. It's mainly in the head I guess.

Personally I prefer the Siracs on rainy days.

I had considered this also, maybe we should talk more...they can't be any worse than the E07s in the wet.

A7, yup thems is Tourances, I think the later EXP pattern. May be wrong on that.
As Uber says, in 30k miles you should have a chance to play with a few sets of tyres.

I dropped the bike going round a roundabout at 20mph with next to no throttle in the damp...it's not just in the head. It's the black stuff that covers joins of tarmac that is the worst...the tyres just can't cope.

I've bought the BT45s and am having them fitted on Saturday. I'll let everyone know how I get on.
