Thumbs up Top trip

Glad to hear youre home safe and well bear.

I would like to add my thanks to Darren also for organising a great weekend, and to everyone who turned up and contributed to the great atmosphere.

And to mr steve (spare one ) d who helped everyone including myself all weekend, Not so sure there was any need to traumatise Darren the way you did tho?

Already looking forward to the next one?????????????????????

A GREAT weekend in the Lakes!
Great company and great location witrh superb scenery and rideouts.

Thanks Darren for all your hard work.
Nice to put faces to names.

Specially StevieD, Stumpy Dave, Crusty...., Bear, Monotacio(hope you got back oK?), Graham(sorry I left you on the M6 southbound but just steamed on!), Uberthumper, Triple Tom, SelinaXT plus anyone else I met but can't at this time remember their names.

It took me about 6 hours to get home to Zummerset(1 hour stop for food/coffee)

I look forward to seeing all the pictures/video.

thanks
Mark

Got home about 2-3pm after a nice run back - well, riding over Shap Fell on the A6 in gale-driven rain wearing an off-road lid and goggles wasn't so much fun. After that though I managed to wind my way back to Derbyshire on mostly tiny roads, apart from the bit from Keighley to Huddersfield, which there didn't seem to be a practical way of avoiding.

Oh, and it's nice and sunny down here. Who's bright idea, etc.

Cheers Darren for organising and everyone else for the laughs.

Thoroughly enjoyed - well organised, well attended, well wet both on the road/trails and in the Old Speckled Hen house! (the Merlot was palatable as well - washed the steak and guiness pie down a treat).

Everybody there deserves a special mention from GULGO's organisation skills through steveD's erudite expositions on anything under the sun (in-between getting bofs like me out of bother) to Selina for providing the glamour and a good helping of humour (not to mention the coffees I cadged) young Harry keeping us all on our toes with non-stop questions and stalwarts stumpydave and clowncrusty like genial bouncers looking after the rest of us. Aged memory forbids me from mentioning all the memorable impressions I have from this weekend - I am beginning to realise that memorable experiences are in the past and the best ones are still to come - HOW can it get better?

A few piccies in the gallery.

Two turns, that was it. end of the road turn left, then after 20 miles turn left <road number given> if you reach a roundabout, you've gone too far. - It realy doesn't get much more simple than that...

So, they got to the end of the road and turned right...... then did a U-turn.... turned left at the roundabout (the one that was the refference point to say they had gone too far!) and rode to the motorway!!!!

---

It certainly was a surreal weekend.....

1) Getting to the end of the first lane, to find Skunkmoto waiting for us! then waiting 10 minutes (me Skunk & UberT) while the rest of the guys rubbed mud into thier jackets to make it look like they were all hardcore farmers!

2) Riding down a lane, a lane that isn't well used at all, and coming over a Tenere is Racing Gold, yes , it was Tenere Doug !! and I thought he was coming up on Saturday!!

3) Riding alone some remote road over a lesser known Lakeland pass, to discover two XT's coming the other way, one of them dressed up like a TDM !

4) Stopping in Pooley Bridge, only to see a blue Super Tenere parked up, off course I stopped and said "Hiya Ray", it was a long shot , but I was right, there in the flesh was OldGitRay...........

5) some bloke turned up on a bike that we couldn't quite place....

and then there was Steve ass..........

Selina's mothering instinct

but the suprise of the weekend, Bear didn't upset the staff!
