Angry Soft luggage for XTX

Does anyone have any advice as to which is the best soft luggage combo to use on the XTX? I'm looking to take the bike to IOM next year & would welcome ideas. Use the bike daily to commute & carry a rucksack, which when opened after a 30 mile ride stinks of exhaust fumes (Akropovic minus baffles!). Therefore was thinking of a tank bag + other. Would consider fitting a rack etc, but concerned it would fill up with CO fumes !!

Have a look at the oxford soft panniers on ebay, at about 40 theyre good value.
I've just come back from lakelands 2010 and mine have done the job just fine again.

I can get some used H&B Pannier racks...what are my (cheaper!) luggage options?

Used hard panniers ..obviously...but they are still pricey even used....could I fit any make of HARD pannier?

Do the Oxford-type of SOFT pannier need a rack? or are they better with a rack? (I don't have exhaust shields)

Hi,
I've bought and used the Kriega products with great satisfaction. I got a set of US-10+US-20 bags and a tank strap. The latter I had to mount in reverse direction but works quite fine. Bags fit like a dream.
Looking into their other range right now.

/Joel
