ECU-1 most time points to a weak battery. Even it still turns over, voltage drops under a certain level and error appears.

You may well try to start it up with the help of your car battery in order to test.

The bike mechanic seems to be making a big deal of it because aparantly a customer got him to order an ECU for a bike before through him which cost �800 and when fitted to the bike it didnt solve the problem, it was just somthing to do with the connection but the guy could not return the ECU to the manufacturer and was out of pocket for it. I dont want the same thing to happen to me hye!
