Headlight Conversion

Hello all.

I've looked all over the site for a headlight conversion package and could not find one anywhere.

I'd like to take my existing standard headlight off and perhaps replace it with a twin spot or something similar. Has anybody else done this? If you have, a picture would be great!

Cheers.

I take it that's a "No" then?

How about the one shown in this thread: http://www.xt660.com/showpost.php?p=50341&postcount=24

I think it is called an Acerbis Cyclops, am not 100% sure though!

Is it different looks you are after, or better light? If light, you could go down the route of fitting a HID kit, wich I am in the process of doing now. As seen in this post http://www.xt660.com/showpost.php?p=61818&postcount=11

In fact, I recommend you read through the mods index here: http://www.xt660.com/showthread.php?t=630 as it is full of useful info, including those two pages I linked to!

Happy riding

Just a quick one! I have fitted HIDS to my XTZ660, they are great and although different countries have different laws for them when fitted aftermarket there is one thing I would suggest. If you fit twin lights and add HIDS to them, hard wire the DIP beam in the Left handlebar control so that the DIP stays on with the High Beam.

In the UK its a legal requirement with separate DIP/High HID bulbs (although it is a little gray whether its legal to fit them at all!) because if you dont you will get complete blackout for a few seconds whilst the High Beam ignites.

With 35 Watt HIDS, both on, imo you put minimal extra stress on the wiring loom and have a good wall of light. Fit 50 Watt HIDS and I would guess you would get a mini sun.

I love mine.

Hope this helps
