Tenere has a new friend...

My Tenere has a friend to talk dirty to during those long hours in the garage..

Puts it into perspective just how small the Beta is - or perhaps how large the Ten' is?

I think I'm getting addicted to Strawberry tinted Putoline 2-Stroke oil...

The seat looks a little uncomfortable for longer journeys......

I keep seeing these bikes go for silly (both directions) money at time, and I've often wondered if I should give it a go........ how hard can it be......

You can get a 3/4/5/6 year old bike for not much. Mine's an 09 Beta Evo 250 - much better than I am. Avoid 03/04 Gas Gas as apparently their gearboxes self destruct..

How hard can it be? Extremely is the answer. Forget everything you've ever done on a bike and have a go. It's hard - really hard and the whole concept is bizarre, but it's great fun and dirt cheap. Events seem to be everywhere and this Sunday I was 10 mins from home, grounded the car on the way in and got towed off by a quad. Fell off into both mud and water and had a generally great day's riding...and was home by mid afternoon.

Have a go.. You'll not regret it!

They are cracker for just farting about on in fields etc if your not wanting to race, but it is hard to do the slow speed balance stuff. I just ended up using it more of like a bike to faff abou in the field as i couldnt get the hang of the balance thing.
