Unhappy Power relay problems

Hey guys. yesterday the bike died on me. Apparently, water got into the regulator connector and so the battery wasn't charged anymore. After riding the bike on battery alone couple of km, the dashboard went off, the main beam went off and finally the spark plugs died so the engine. Cleaned the connector (lots of water and dirt inside) applied grease and tested the battery for charging voltages. I know from my previous bikes that when charging, a battery should return 13.5 - 13.8V when reving a bit. But yesterday I only got 12.9V when reving at 5000rpm. Can you guys confirm your bikes are charging the battery at 12.5-13V only? If not, I think a wire might be faulty so I will have to change the connector..

ps. the connector doesn't properly fit (if I try to move the connector a bit, the main beam gets a little dimmer or brighter depending on the position of the connector inside the regulator. known issue?)

Thanks!

Do you mean the regulator/rectifier, black box at the front below the horn, then there is a known problem on this and lots of threads so do a search on regulator or rectifier.
