Idle speed with clutch in f*!"$!"
Hello all, still having the same problem, when idleing in neutral, its ok (with a few hickups and farts) but as soon as i put it into gear with the clutch in, it jumps straight up to about 3000 revs. im atually rather hating riding at the moment bike just feels like **** to ride.. ive order a new air filter and cushdrives, hopefully the air filter does sumink, coz ive done 15000 miles on a standard filter.. anyway, any help would be rather appreciated before i kick the bloody thing in

i have something similar but it doesnt happen all the time
Mine is basically like the automatic choke is on but as soon as you drive off its fine and will drop all the way down the revs while in gear still driving, but as soon as you pull the clutch in and free wheel a bit it revs away, but i can get the revs to drop by either flicking it into neutral where the revs drop back to normal tick over or slip the clutch a bit with the brakes on and it drops the revs. Mine only happens every now and then, doesnt matter if the engines fully warm, cold, high speed run, low speed etc Asked Kev a while ago about it but he's never heard of it.

Mine does that, but only sometimes and only when the engine is cold. It doesn't really bother me, I just stick it in neutral and the revs drop again.

Thats good news then!
I suppose with electronic fuel injection there are sensors allover the place telling the brain of the engine allsorts of stuff, which then makes the engine behave in a certain way. I think.
