kev mod???

Happy Christmas,

fitted the kev mod this morning (before church!!!), the air temp reading was +3, but the kev mod only let me go down by 5 to -2. Is that the max that it normally allows - only 5 degrees movement?

I was under the impression you could adjust the temp by 10 degrees?

any thoughts>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Pretty normal is it his that cold, the Kev mod is not linear among temperature.

And you have less adjustment margin at cooler temperatures.

I would suggest to readjust it when the temperature is about 20C.

have fun,

j.

Quite correct the colder the ambient temperature the less the mod adjusts, we have know about this from the begging.

You must understand at 20C ambient air temp, we adjust the mod by approx -20 to -25% depending on the mods, which would read 15 on the dash. At 3 degrees C -20 to -25% would only need to adjust the fuel mod down by a degree or 2 to achieve the same %. We did find in early testing if I made the mod go down to -10 on the dash the bikes ran to rich with a lumpy idle at start up.

Kev mod and O2 sensor models

Hi guys, i have been wondering why Kev mod will not work on 2007 models with O2 sensors?, as far as i know in 2007 models the closed loop is working only at constant speed and when accelerating the loop is open, there for Kev mod
should have some effect on 2007 bikes also.

Is there any dyno run with Kev mod and 2007 bike?

(sorry for hijacking the thread)

My fuel mod does work on the 07 to 09 models with many of them still being sold. It just does not have the same results as the 04 to 06 models because of the O2 sensor changing the fuelling at constant throttle speeds, not even a Power Commander can get the fueling right in the closed loop circuit. In the open loop it works perfectly, the problem is when we are in the closed loop the bike is to lean.

The reason I don't advertise the 07> is because I like to be up front & tell the buyers all the facts first before they buy a 07> fuel mod, once they know the full facts they can decide weather they want one or not.
