Question Chain and Sprocket kits and changing tips

Hi fellas, and ladies if there are any!

I need to replace my chain and sprockets and was wondering if anyone could recommend a good kit to go for? I thought I had to buy them seperate (if this is better please let me know?) but after searching the net I found kits which include it all.

Also, is there any tips for replacing the chain and sprockets? Especially the front sprocket, not looking forward to that

Can anyone recommend somewhere to get them online? preferably in aus, but definitely that ships to aus!

Cheers

I would recommend B&C Express for UK & Europe as distributors of already made kits for the XT's comprising Renthal Sprockets and Tsubaki X-ring chains, however I leave it to Kev to direct you to a good retailer in Oz.

If you are going to do the job yourself, you are going to need some special tools like a chain breaker or angle grinder to get the chain off, then a chain riveter to rivet the chains master link securly together.

Adding these tools to the price of the chain & sprocket kit, it may well be worth paying a bike shop to do it for you.

I would only fit a X ring chain to my XT if you want it to last.

Do you have any of these tools or can borrow them to carry out this repair??
