Brake Pad Prices
Just checking...
Am I right thinking that a full set of Yamaha OEM pads for a Tenere will cost over 110? 2 x 38.99 for the front 1 x 32.99 for the rear Thanks, Nick. |

Nick,
I changed my rear earlier this year, and despite the part number being different, and Yamaha telling me (via the dealer) that they were different, when I checked them they were identicle to the TTR600E rear pads, that cost a fraction! Maybe the fronts are the same, and have a lower cost alternative ??? I can't imagine the front brakes are a Tenere special item....

Looking on
EBCBrakesDirect, they quote the following:
Front Pads: Part No. FA181R 16.49 each pair incl vat Rear Pads: Part No. FA208R 16.49 incl vat Their website says that the front pads match the TT600E, TT600R and TT600RE, along with various CCMs, Husabergs, Husqvarnas and KTMs. The rear pads, as Gas_Up mentions, are the same for the TT600RE (only Yamaha match), and once again the CCMs, Husas, Husqs and KTMs - plus other more obscure makes |
