fuel commander

Hello Chaps

My 2006 XT has a K & N filter, snorkel removed and Remus cans without baffles...

Do I need a power commander, or Kev mod etc ?

Has anyone tried one of these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

I've come over from the 'dark side', I had a tricked up DRZ400sm for a coupla years....I much prefer the more refined and stable XT but my Son still has his DRZ, and he's right up my chuff and chuckling coz my extra 260cc is not separating the bikes

All and any help/advice appreciated

Kev

I found those Nitro power commanders the other day on ebay.

They're basically a kevfuel mod which is a variable resistor that tricks the ECU into thinking that the air entering is colder (therefore denser) and over fuels to accomodate.

The main difference is that the Nitro power commanders are a series of switches that give limited ajustment whereas a variable potentiometer (resistor) gives an unlimited ajustment.

They are in no relation to Dynojets Power commander and are not programmable like a power commander and do not work in the same way but can give similar albeit not as perfect effects as a power commander.

I had a DR350 96 with a 385 bigbore before and dep exhaust and that thing used to haul.

Seen as your bike is a 2006 i.e. doens't have one of those dreaded Lambda probes of 02 sensor you will get a definite improvement by fitting a fuelling device. Be it a power commander of a Kev mod depends on your pocket.

I suggest you do a bit of reading in our mod sections (click on my signature) to see what mod gives you what.

Good luck
