Heated Grips...

Hi Guys,

I bought a set of Oxford Hot Grips today, as I want to continue to wear my summer gloves through the winter, and am currently having to grab the engine block every time I stop at traffic lights...

My question is - has anyone fitted a set of these grips to an XT?

The instructions are simple, but I want to wire them into the ignition rather than directly to the battery so that I don't forget to turn them off and flatten the battery.

Any help gratefully received.

Storm

I think you'll find we're all far too hard to have heated grips, let alone the worrying weight implications. The only person who might fit them would be AJT660 in case he gets caught out on a cool summer evening as he won't ride his bike unless it's above 20 degrees C.

Ah yes... I had forgotten about the potential impact that this would have on my masculinity... I'll return them at once and resume riding in shorts and T-Shirts...

Well done Storm, it takes a real man to admit when he's in the wrong. I do think you should consider parachute pants (a la MC Hammer circa 1990) rather than shorts though.

Perhaps we should start a fund raiser to help find a cure for AJT660's Frigophobia. Perhaps that why he likes red bikes they remind him of warmth.
