2007 xt660x front end unstable?

Hi All,

Just bought a 2007 xt660x having not ridden on the roads in
a few years , was actually sport bike racing (not a very
successful career).
ANywho my question is that at say 70-80 mph I'm finding
a small wobble in the front end.

Checked wheel balancing, checked head stock bearing.

Could it be due to the high mudguard catching wind or do I need
to get a windshield.

Or is it something else?

Thumbs up Thanks All!

Think I found the problem, only have the bike week, my friend pointed out that I have a dunlop front tyre and a Bridgestone rear, this (I spose) would throw off the balance and create a wobble. Failing that I might buy a small windscreen.

Gee great forum, thanks for the advice, the xt660x is the best fun I've had with my clothes on.

i found the same speed wobble on my bike wen was tryin to get home in a rush and hand to use motorway as the a roads where blocked by road works (grrrrr) but then took my girlfriend on the back and had no problems, im also quite light under 11 stone,

is the solution just to sit further back at speed or is there an adjustment you can make
