stalling at juctions

I have had my '06 plate XT 660 R now for about 10 days & I noticed from day 1 a tendancy to stall when coming to a stop at juctions, at best its annoying at worst it is potentially dangerous
i have clicked the link in the thread about product recalls an the XT 660s built up to dec '05 are subject to a recall for a TPS upgrade to rectify a low speed stalling prob. so potentially my bike could fall into that recall catagory
question is how do I know if my bike is due a recall or how would I know if its been done
answering my own question "take it to a Yamaha dealer!"?

My '06 model XT660X does this too. One day I'm going to work up the energy to work through all the posts about ecu and tps and wtf and see what should be done about it. Now i know it may happen i don't panic when it does so its not so much of an issue, just dip clutch and start on the starter motor, occassionally bump but as its usually when you've slowed to an almost stop and about to turn thats kinda not usually appropriate
Hope you get it sorted, keep us posted.

If you contact Yamaha UK they will let you know if your bike has had warantee work done or it if should have (I did this and they responded very quickly, just give the the VIN).

On the other hand, these bikes' fuelling isn't great and they do tend to stall in certain circumstances. E,g. when you downshift and don't blib the throttle. It's annoying, but you get used to it, just blib the throttle and don't let the revs drop completely.

Once the motor has warmed up make sure your idle speed is between 1400rpm & 1500rpm & up your CO1 by 10.
