adjusting brake pedal??????????
sorry for the lazy Q. but does any one know if the brake pedal can be rotated down or adjusted the same as the gear lever on splines? as I got new HG TRG boots and find it akward now to brake as I have to lift my foot onto the brake pedal then settle my heal again on the peg which makes it not very precise braking which is made worse still when my missus is on the back as I am sitting more forward. Being able to rotate it down would be ace as I can then slide my boot onto it rather than lift, but cant check just now as its dark out and won't get the chance to look tomorow.

Yep.
There is a locking nut on the 'plunger', which is threaded. Release the nut and turn the plunger to move the pedal. Same cyclinder as is on the TTR, I have TRG's too and adjusted the pedal down for the same reason you have! Watch out for the rubber dust seal though, best to release it from the cyclinder first - they tear without too much effort.

Hi
I also have this problem compounded because of my height (6'4"). I've adjusted pedal as far down as possible using plunger adjustment but it's not enough. Any other ways of lowering the brake pedal. Do people get custom pedals made? What about someway of raising the footpeg slightly (i have Pivotpegz installed)? Thanks for any help. Alan |

Hi Escape,
where abouts are you? As i had the same problem and had to cut my pedal, bend it down then re-weld and paint it. I am in the Midlands and would do the same for you if you could get to my garage. Crusty |

The XTZ should be the same as my XTX
Adjusting Rear brake lever position
Undo the Gold nut anti clockwise, then adjust the Silver nut to the height you want, then tighten up the Gold lock nut again. I lower mine, as when in race mod leaning forward, I was tending to lift my foot off the peg to put the rear brake on. Also when lifting it would need my foot to come off the peg to put the rear brake on. Don't forget to adjust your brake light switch.
