spen,

firstly put slime ( for tubes ) in your tyres.

Secondly, you can buy a repair kit from these guys or similar from elsewhere, i carry one for my off-roader...

Cheers

I've used tyre weld a couple of times
first time was a few years ago with not good results
the tyre weld came out of every spoke hole as fast as i put it in.
ended up riding home 5 miles on a flat.

second time a mate had a flat miles from home, picked up a tin from a car spares shop put it in and it work just like it says on the tin. probably worked because we started to tape over the spokes with insulating tape instead of using rim tape.

As a a get me home fix it's worth a try, but have a back up plan.

slime all day long - stops you getting a puncture in the first place - most of the time, not too sure about the tyre weld stuff really.

Cool

This might sound like a silly question if you use the slime in the tube, when you need to fit a new tyre do you have to replace the tube aswell . It def looks like a good job.

Not used slime myself.
would only really try it offroading.

Is wheel balance a problem when used in road wheels.

Used a can of tyre weld on another bike on the Lakes dooo. Dodn't look as though it was going to work as it appeared to come out of the hole but I just carried on and put the whole lot in . It did seal the hole which had been made from a small nail about 3mm diameter, Kept the tyre inflated with my small portable compressor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! about ten times on the rideout!!!!!!!

Nope, it actually balances the wheel for you!

seeing as its a thick liquid, bordering on being a gel it works the same way as these things - http://www.magnumbalance.com/index.htm

i've had my Ten at over 85mph with 'Seal A Wheel' sealant (similar to slime/ultraseal ) and have no issues whatsoever with balance. and come to think of it wahen i fitted the TKC's i didnt even take off the original balance weights from the Tourances - so the balance is even further out!
