Givi setup fitted

Well after 4 attempts i finally got a set of rails that fit the bike , so out yesterday doing some errands and took some photo's.
And yes i did say in another post "why would you want a peaked lid on summat thats already noisy/buffeting" but i bought one and its the quietest lid i have and i have had Shuberths !

that actually looks better than I would have thought. does the top plate bolt straight onto the standard tail of the bike or do you need a separate adaptor kit besides the Givi plate? I still have a Givi top box lying around and fitting a Givi top plate would be a whole lot cheaper than buying a Yamaha OEM top box (+/- 450) or an aftermarket top box with fitting plate (also a couple of hundred ).

Yes, has an adapter plate which i tried to buy on its own but Givi only sell the full kit . Its a neat install and positions the box a bit further back so i don't kick the crap out of it getting on and off (as i am with the panniers) up and down the motorway yesterday with a bit of a stiff breeze and no problems. I have not upped the preload yet but had some weight in the box and it does not seem to make much difference so far.

Helmut

Is that a Hornet DS?

I just bought one and wow...its a clever design...not buffeting whatsoever...

Like the panniers to..
