Handguards causing instability XTX.

Gents,

So i fitted a cool set of handguards that look the business, however they're giving me instability over 82mph. Not quite turning into a 'death weave' but not exactly inspiring either.

It doesn't come as a huge suprise as i'm aware that they can cause these sort of issues... but ...

Does anyone have a fix ?

I'm fitting a set of Kev spacers next week or so... suspension as far as i know is standard.

did you fit them over the bar end weights or did you remove the weights? I found that by removing the weights I had better stabilty.

Weights were removed. Used a set of KTM mounts which are about 2" metal threaded that expand slightly. The handguards are the type with metal bar accross the legnth and then into the ends of bars.

Ive an XTR and have fitted the yammy hand guards and have no bother with weave up to any speed.

Maybe try and loosen your grip on the bars by leaning forward a bit to take the force off your hands.

I had the same problem and it was really scary. Once the weights were placed back the problem went away.
