Anyone fitted an xt660x front fender?

Just wondering if anyone has tried fitting the fender(s) from the x? I think it looks better than the long banana like jobs on the R or from off the road and touratech etc. I think the low part at the back would also be useful and could easily be removed if doing any muddy stuff. Any info on how easy this would be would be appreciated and save me a trip to the dealer to look at an x for myself.

I know of a guy that has done it, and I want to as well. I have looked at it, and think it will be a straight bolt on.

Agreed - The magnificent Roman nose of the R would look completely out of place on the 'just run into the back of a bus' front end styling on the Z.

Went for a look at the dealers today and think the top fender from the x will bolt on ok but may catch the inside of the tank when on full lock? I guess it could be mounted below the tow loop and maybe add some spacers to bring it down a bit but I'd rather see someone else's effort before I fork out 35 for the fender. Rudiedj, can you get any photos? There's also a black plastic finisher that the fender ties in with and the fender has an indentation to allow the match up. This could make it look a bit cr@p, as it may be obvious that it's not meant to be on the Z.

The bottom fender looks more difficult because the mounting points on the Z and X are different. This is a pity but wasn't an essential bit anyway.

I'll hold off until I see a photo or another after market job becomes available.
