Givi screen fitted - pics
Hello all,
I've been looking around for a taller screen and information seems to have been a bit scarce so I hope this helps anyone else in the same situation. The Givi screen is exactly 100mm taller than standard, it also measures 100mm wider just below the top, 55mm wider at the GPS bracket level and an extra 20mm at its widest part. http://tinypic.com/r/2wh13dl/5 http://tinypic.com/r/28wgd9s/5 http://tinypic.com/r/28ahvmh/5 http://tinypic.com/r/21cgp6e/5 http://tinypic.com/r/xcrbqc/5 It seems nicely finished, robust and it fits perfectly. This was the best price I found: http://www.hard-motorcycle-luggage.c...8.html#aPLX363 73 inc VAT and P&P. I'll post how it helps with the air flow for me (6ft) a little later... |

Cheers for the pics, very helpful. Definitely interested to hear how you get on with it. I'm only 5'9" but the buffeting is getting tiresome on my commute.

it's looking really nice.
If I am not mistaken, different than the other afteremarket ones; Givi one is wider -should be stronger.

Can you turn the handlebar ok with the wider windshield or does it hit the grip protector? Because the original yamaha grip protectors almost touch the original windshield.

It doesn't interfere with my handlebars in full lock although as you can see from my pic, I have non standard bars with handguards.

Look's smart and with it being made by Givi i suspect the quality is very good.

Having returned from the lakes down the A1 i hated the double vision caused by the vibration of turbalence at 80/85mph
can you confirm you have a more cleaner less turbalent ride with this screen. because if i did a long journey like this again i think i'll be a juddering w r e c k .. |

I did a 420km run yesterday, mostly highway with strong winds, and no problems whatsoever with turbulence, the Tenere was stable and solid, doin' 120kmh. Lucky me! The shield is just perfect as it is, for me(I'm 1.93m). So I'll stick to it.
Greetz, Hans.
