Help. (Last post?)

Got mySelf into a big mess😡

On the RHS, the crankcase cover, theres a screw on cap which you can open for maintenance.
It was over tightened to stop a minute oil weep

Decided to change the O ring but the cap doesnt budge and putting some pressure on it has completely chewed up the slot And useless now.

Any ideas on how I can remove it.

Thanks

Depends on how much you want that cap. I'd heat up a 2 pence coin held in a pair of self locking grips. Then push the hot coin in to the freshest part of the cap (it's plastic). Try not to go all the way through. Pull the hot coin out leaving a new slot. Let the cap cool and use a cold 2 p coin as a new screw driver head. thank you so much pal.

I thought it was aluminium but plastic should be easier to remove as you suggested.

It it item 12 on this parts list

Would have added the actual pics but somehow I don't seem to be able!
The cap is pretty chewed up so replacing it is necessary.

thanks again. Will let you know of the outcome. Just don't understan the reason for the oil weep (purely cosmetic and a little messy)
