According to the service manual, tehre should be a 3 pin conn. for the diag tool, but I have not find it on my bike.
My former FZ6S (Fazer) had a quite funny and complicated password in order to enter service mode, but it was at the clocks.

Both the 4 pin and 2 pin connector are for the alarm (item 71 at the electric diagram)

Not all stealerships are that way, but they are know to left some loose screws too
Looks like there is a single wire data bus between the ECU the diag tool conn (if it actually exists) and the "Inmobilizer Unit", if you look at the electric diagram there is a wire than goes only to those 3 conns., maybe it is a sort of "siingle wired" CAN bus.
Any info from any Yamaha tech looking at this post is wellcome.
