Also, I'm presuming that was a piece of private ground, and not just some roadside verge you were carving up in front of the public driving along the lane? (not wanting to get all TRF on you like, but illegal riding is not the best thing to post on Youtube...)

ps. to get a better feel for what the bikes might be like in the desert (not the soft sand, but gravel piste at least), you could get hold of the OS map of Salisbury Plain and head down there for the day (or two) - but do please stick to the legit vehicular rights of way... if only to stop you getting shot by the Military x
