I am no mechanic, but below is just my experience so take it however you want it:

Try to get a service manual (not owners' manual) and tighten all the screws/bolts you can find on the handlebar, fork, and tank to the torque specifications. I think you guess it right. In the owners' manual, there is a specific way to fill up the oil, so keep an eye on that when you do it yourself. The oil in the tube is normal, especially you do some high speed for a sustained period of time. No need to be concerned, just empty it once in a while.
