stoic bloke is on a distinguished road
hi recently carried out the symtec gripheater fitment to my tenere.

first remove the grips; bar end off, gently slide a blunt screw driver between grip and bar /trottle tube, i use brake /electricle cleaner sprayed along the screwdriver to loosed the grip glue-may need it in a few places around the bar. fit the heaters as described.i refitted the grips with a light spraying of the cleaner which seems help the grip slide on and when it dries bonds the grips quite firmly, at this point i would normaly lock wire in place but it doesn't seem nessasary

the wiring i got the power feed and earth from the black connector behind the panel at the back of the lamps[ i also use this to power a socket for gps/phone charger]it is protected by a 10amp fuse which also provides for the side lamps so you should add an fuse to the circuit you are adding![the white plug i got of a toyota wiring loom] you may need to get a couple of appropiate wiring blades to fit, perhap a trip to the yamaha dealers for the proper connector would be best. the connector is switched with the ignition so hopefully no flat batterys, the black wire is the earth

i ordered the toggle switch and had to make a bracket, i used some fine stainless and attatched to the clutch lever bracket for handyness[should be a picture below]

i hope this is some help stoic
