I am looking at fabricating 2 metal vertical racks that will reside either side of the bike engine beside the lower grey plastic protector. They will accommodate 2 soft panniers and perhaps a tool tube under each one.
As we will be 2 up all the time and despite tailoring my riding and route accordingly, falling off is likely to be a problem so it will also serve as a crash bar and maybe stop the weighty beast from injuring our legs.
The good thing is the weight will be low and near the centre of gravity to will upset the bike less.

Wolfman (and others?) used to do a tank pannier bag set-up - that might be enough... similarly, a couple of Ortlieb dry bags bungeed on the top of the topbox (and the top of each pannier?) would also give extra capacity... personally I'd not want anything infront of my legs (hence not owning a BMW x), especially if you need to paddle the whole shebang two up?
It will certainly be interesting to see your bike finally loaded Ray!
