It does, from empty to neck full is 23 litres (I know this from bitter experience in an Italian filling station - Gasoily (could be the wrong spelling) isn't petrol!), but it does take a long time with the hole that is there. I never considered drilling it out.

In my case, probably best leaving it well alone. Even during the summer, with it being stored underground, fuel is still very cold when it first goes into your tank but soon expands in the sun. don't want to be blowing fuel out of the breather pipes right in the track of the back tire!! IF I was to drill the hole out, I'd forget !! I'm not sure how much fuel expands by but the allowence in the tank is only 4.5% - doesn't sound like much does it?

When you do fill it and the tank fills you may well get a jet of fuel coming out of the hole (only for a second when your full), just watch your eyes! - could you confrm if this is a problem or not ??
