I have heard of the beads but didn't know much about them. I do now. My opinion is, compaired to the green goo they seem to have no other use than to balance the tire where the liquid does help with punctures as well. I recently changed a tire and the liquid caused little or no problems. If the beads fall out you will be sweeping them up for weeks. To be fair an XTR isn't the quickest bike on the road so is tire balance that important.
