Ok. I took the plunge and fitted some supermaxxes. They cost me 99 quid for the pair, so I was dubious, but the price was right, as I have just started my own business, and funds were tight.
After the maxxis supermoto tyres I had, which were a little unstable at high speeds, but stuck like **** to a blanket, they had alot to live up to. However first impressions are good. Don't get me wrong, they don't grip like a bridgestone 010, or 014, but for the money, anyone on a budget should seriously consider these. They take a little while to warm up, but once warm, grip in the wet or dry is pretty good. The rear refuses to spin, even with serious throttle and clutch abuse, and the front grips well enough to stoppie after about half a mile.
Having checked reviews on some of the sportsbike forums, general reactions seem to be good, and life seems impressive.
I will post again when they seem to be wearing, with a guess at the life expectancy, but so far I give them 8 out of 10.
Hope this is useful to someone.
