Also it might be worth sending a pm to Johnny cause he has fitted new bars, not sure which, but I am sure he'll be able to tell you, and to clarify if its an easy task or not. The thought of removing all that switchgear, grips, levers and brushguards, gives me vertigo... poor you, sorry about your spill.

I'm actually looking forward to replacing the bars - gives me an excuse to spend more time in the garage. I've been wanting to replace the grips with something a little more off road for a while too!
I wasn't that upset about the spill - I was having the time of my life with the XT on some trails in Northants with some friends in the TRF. They think I'm mad to trail such a big bike but as its the only thing I've trailed, I can't really complain
