I've answered my own question.

If you want to bypass your clutch switch, and bypassing it at the lever doesn't work then do this.

Expose your main relay unit (behind RH rear panel).

There is a blue/yellow wire coming from the relay which is the earth.

Cut the black/yellow wire and take the side which comes from the relay and tie it into the blue/yellow earth wire.

This will activate the relay meaning you no longer need the clutch switch.

To test.....If you put the bike in gear with the side stand up, you can hear the relay click on and off as you touch this wire to the blue/yellow earth.


I've unplugged my clutch switch cable (under the tank on left hand side. You can access it if you remove LH front panel)

Note: This doesn't affect the sidestand switch.
