this looks like an addition to the manual compared to mine (2009).
could have to do with what petenz posted but anything I can say would be a guess.


Since there is no diffinitive answer, I would ask a yamaha mechanic about this otherwise do the first oil change by the book making note of how much oil you collected then doing it again without removing the cam cover plate & compare the results.
