When you disconnect the actual fuel pump at the last connection before the fuel pump assembly and power up does the fuse still blow ?

If it doesn't blow, the problem is in the fuel pump assembly.

If it still blows the fuse, the problem is in the wiring loom to the the fuel pump assembly but the hard part is going to be finding it.

Check all visible wiring for any chaffing or crush damage that is allowing the bar copper wire to touch the frame of the bike which is causing the short circuit.
Check all this first and see what you find.
