I swapped out the original bulbs in the headlight for Osram Nightbreaker unlimited recently and last night was the first ride in the dark. I was flashed a couple of times by passing cars (while using the low beam) and got concerned. I parked the bike in front of a dark wall and tried the beam adjuster screw without seeing any difference, though I didn't sit on the bike while doing the adjustment. I also realized that the high beam doesn't seem to add much, if anything, to the beam pattern. Link to photo of comparison below: shouldn't the main beam provide further lighting rather than less? The main does throw some light almost straight up (not visible in picture) but I don't see how that's any help. Given that I've fiddled a lot with the adjutment screw I have no idea how the current setting is compared to the original one, but shouldn't the main beam shine further than the low beam regardless of setting?
