Your post has been rather timely as I have been pondering whether to replace the broken steering lock.

Somebody tried to steal my XT the other night. They snapped the steering lock and tried to push it away. The idiot(s) got about 50cm before the big lock on the rear wheel stopped them. They obviously hadn't seen this in the dark and appears to be no other damage.

I have been trying to work out what I would need to replace and how much this is likely to cost me.

Can anyone give me an idea on this?
