It only draws a few mA, but over time it will be enough to drain a battery. Do you really want it glowing all the time too? They are quite bright.

I found the easiest way to wire it was to the spare connector behind the panel just under the dash. This is on the sidelight circuit and is only live with the ignition on, or when the key is in the 'P' position (which is quite handy as it gives you a visual indication that you have left the sidelights on, which definitely will flatten your battery.) You can then mount the unit in the inner panels behind the front indicator(s).

There is no need to fit a fuse as the Gammatronix has an internal fuse.

You will have to chop off the existing female connector as the male part is like rocking horse sh!t to get hold of! Replace it with a generic connector, or if you don't want to cut it off, spade terminals can be pushed into existing one and taped up.
