Never had any issues filtering on the Ten with 105cm bars and tin boxes on. You've, as already mentioned, just got to it sensibly; be wary and make sure the speed differential between you and the traffic you're passing isn't too great.

Also worth getting to know what models of cars contain drivers that do unpredictable things and/or have an aggressive driving style and a negative attitude to motorcyclists. It varies from place to place, country to country, but everywhere in the world seems to have them. In my experience, round here, it's BMWs, Audis and Mercs you need to be most wary of.
