Hi guys, Im new to the forum I was very happy finding this community and seeing all you guys supporting each other.

I got my first bike ever in June an Xt 660 X 2005.

So yesterday I went to look which filter the bike got installed , it has the stock filter and has the snorkel removed also.
Inside the air box is wet (oil) and also dirty on the side where to snorkel is, I even saw and plastic at the bottom after taking a picture of the bottom of the airbox.

My thoughts about the bike : the previous owner had PC and K&N filter installed (because I saw a sticker under the seat about when the k&n filter had to be cleaned etc).

So the bike setup is now :
- stock filter
- no snorkel
- leo 3x pipes
- TPS @ 16
- CO @ 70 (but yesterday I changed it to 40 and I think its riding a lil more smoother now).

Looks like a real bad air circulation to me.

My next move :
- K&N filter
- A2 TPS (I think I got the old one bcause the bike got the know cut off problem at traffic light once in a while)

and after those two are fitted im planning to go for the kev fuel mod.


So my first question are: That plastic thing in my air box! whats that ? (picture below) Is it just dirt I could remove, im afraid its something they feat in there and after I remove it the bike wont start again (yeah I'm a Noob).

2th question: The Oil in my airbox is this normal?

3th question: Nothing to do with my previous talk since last week one fork seal start leaking im planning to change it tomorrow. The fork is easy to take off, but any tips how to replacethe seal itself ? how to pop it off. Do I have to do anything special?
