Another point to add is that once the registering process has started, if you have two keys, you MUST do both. If you buy a new replacement key and register only that one, the other black key (should you have one) will not work anymore. You can't go back and register a second key later. Every time the registration process is started a new key code is generated from the red key. The idea being that should you lose a key, reregistering the one still in your possession will render the lost key unuseable should it get into the wrong hands.
