Well mainland Europe is not that remote :-) And how often do you puncture ?

Yes if you go to remote places on questionable roads I'll recommend being able to patch a tube and have spare clutch handle etc. Otherwise it is just an inconvenience and may delay the adventure a bit to find a shop that can help.
