Nice to hear about your experiences with the cheaper sets too I've seen them about and wondered about their quality.
I got 18000km out of the original on my pony but a lot depends on riding conditions.

I could have gotten a tad more out of it but the rear tyre was up for replacement so dit both at the same time. Riding Heidenau K60 now that i expect to last 10k so two rear tires and the a new chain again...

I have tried to loose the clips on a chain and also have another one snap so i prefer endless chains... And endless chain is a bit more work to fit but just look at the pictures here....



So endless chains for me from there on - On a xtz750 you will even have to drain the oil for it. So there the 660 is easier

Got the endless chain did 520 vx2 and Esjot sprockets from Kedo

One could also replace the front sprocket before the chain is to stretched since they are pretty cheap compared to chain and rear sprockets.
