I fitted some of those wrap around "element" heated grip things on mine and just wired them up to the two spare wires behind the dash with a block connector. Works fine although don't get much heat through foam grips. It's just good enough to take the edge off the cold.

Pretty basic electrikery on my part but they're still working 2 years on.
